When it comes to cleaning the bathroom, water marks and limescale can be a battle to get rid of - especially on glass. But cleaning obsessives have revealed the best product for getting shower screens looking as good as new. The Mrs Hinch fans suggested the budget-friendly spray - and the before and after photos showed that it really worked.

Mrs Hinch is an influencer who found fame on Instagram by sharing her top cleaning tips and tricks.

The social media sensation, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, has even written books about how she keeps her Essex home sparkling.

The star has millions of followers called "Hinchers" or the "Hinch army" who share her love of cleaning - and they have even set up their own groups to share vital housework tips with each other.

They also often post their cleaning dilemmas to ask for advice - and in one recent post, one person needed help getting the marks off of a shower screen.

The Hinch army recommended Viakal, a limescale remover spray that costs as little as £3.

"Viakal is the best, my glass screen looks brand new after I was recommended it," said one member of the group.

"Use Viakal to clean and then polish the glass with furniture polish which prevents the limescale building up again!" shared another.

The strong stuff is ideal for removing limescale, soap scum and water marks in both bathrooms and kitchens.

Other Hinchers suggested using the Pink Stuff cream, calling it a "miracle cleaner" to get rid of water marks.

However, for some fans it was about using the right tools, with some recommending using a brillo pad or a squeegee tool to get the screen clean again.

Controversially, others even admitted they use a toilet cleaner product to get rid of the marks, using the strong liquid without diluting it before rinsing away.

But with so many cleaning fans recommending the Viakal product, the original poster went with the majority.

They proved they knew their cleaning products too, as they later returned to post a snap of the newly cleaned shower.

"As Viakal seemed to win the majority I bought the gel and spray and wow... what a difference," the Facebook user wrote.

The picture showed a sparkling shower screen that looked as good as new compared to the original photo, which showed it was covered in limescale and watermark build-up.

The spray can be left on for maximum results - but some users also warned to clean their cloths thoroughly to avoid more smears.

"Viakal, spray it on and scrub with a non scratch scourer and leave it for 20 mins, then rinse off thoroughly, then dry and buff with a clean/new microfibre cloth (if you wash your microfibre cloths don't use fabric softener as it smears everything on the next use, a 30 degree wash and an extra rinse is what I do)," they posted.
